Volunteer Program Overview

Applicants 19 years and older may apply for our volunteer teaching program. This program has an all inclusive fee that covers the major expenses of the semester abroad. Furthermore, it is available to native English speaking applicants with or without a degree.

Teachers typically teach around 20 hours a week with a two day weekend (usually including Sunday). Positions are available in K-12 schools and occasionally colleges and universities.

Teachers can request to be placed with at least one other China Horizons teacher who is also applying. We can usually accommodate a group of 4-5 acquaintances in the same school/city.
